The Model 1S was loaned out to Chris Maida, Editor of American Iron Magazine, and Chris Callen, Editor of Cycle Source Magazine, to do a review on this value-laden Digger Bobber during the 2009 edition of Sturgis.
Chris Maida, Editor of American Iron Magazine, test rode the Brass Balls Bobbers’ Model 1S Digger Bobber during the 2009 edition of Sturgis. His report is in the March 2010 edition of American Iron Magazine.
One of the unique features of the bike is the suspended seat plus the hidden suspension below the frame. It provides a very cushy ride on this bare-knuckle motorbike.
The Model 1S comes with high-value components including a D&D Performance Enterprise’s 2-into-1 header system, Baker Drivetrain, Tauer Machine belt primary and a strong running EVO 80″ mill with a S&S Super E carb and air cleaner.
About Brass Balls Bobbers & Choppers
With a strong team at the helm and a slate of innovative, high-performance designs that blend vintage with contemporary, Darwin Motorcycles is primed and quickly becoming one of the leading motorcycle shops in the country attracting new riders and setting trends through their Above Average Bobber program .
Chris Maida is caught throwing a leg over a Brass Balls Model 1S motorcycle in Sturgis SD this past year. Moments later he snicked the sled into gear and blasted off towards the Badlands.
As the editor of American Iron Magazine, Maida can test just about any bike that he wants. He decided to exercise the Softail-style custom-production motorcycle for a full week during the 2009 edition of Sturgis. His review will be in an upcoming issue of the magazine.
Enthusiasts and owners of the Model 1S have agreed that this is one cool bike. And with Maida’s black shades and black T, black jeans, and black ride, well, we think he is sporting his James Dean look.
The hand-built custom-production Model 1S is just 17,995. To get your James Dean look call the office today at 405-270-0995. (more…)
This is the perfect sled for under the tree activity. Santa and his little helper would love waking up to this tasty Bobber.
And you can save $1,000 by buying it before the end of the year. The custom-production bike has all the good stuff and will be increased by $1,000 on January 1, 2010.
The value-priced Model 1 retails for $15,995 and the softail-style Model 1S comes in at just $1,000 more.
Chris Callen, Editor of Cycle Source Magazine, took the Model 1S custom-production bobber for a spin while he was up in Sturgis this year. He liked what he saw in the value-priced bobber that features a brushed aluminum and black finish.
The Model 1S looks just like a rigid with its sprung seat and softail-style hidden shocks. But the ride is plush because of the double suspension. If you have been hankering for a bobber but your back sez whoa, you can now go. (more…)
Chris Maida, Editor of American Iron Magazine, liked the what he saw in the Model 1S and ran the motorcycle introduction in the October edition of the magazine.
Dar Holdsworth, Brass Balls’ Bossman had this to say about the
Model 1S:
The Brass Balls’ Model 1S is the very essence of our bikes, it’s built for an adrenaline rush and delivers outstanding performance in a Hot Rod inspired-package that out accelerates, out turns and out stops muscle cars.
The Model 1S looks exactly like its sibling, the Model 1.
Oh yeah, the Model 1S was loaned out to Chris Maida, Editor of American Iron Magazine, and Chris Callen, Editor of Cycle Source Magazine, to do a review on this value-laden Bobber from Oklahoma City.
First to report back was Chris Maida.
He had the softail-style midnight-black Bobber for just under a week. One of the unique features of the bike is the suspended seat plus the hidden suspension below the frame. That provided a very cushy ride on the bare-knuckle motorbike.
This Model 1S was built to debut at the 69th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally where American Iron Magazine and Cycle Source will take the bike for a spin and report on it in an up coming issue.
