Art Of The Chopper Bike: Ready to Roll from Brass Balls HQ

This Chopper is Ready for Ignition

A great chopper is not built, it’s created. It begins as the seed of an idea germinating in the mind of its creator. Bit by bit, the builder brings the machine to life… That is what Tom captured in his first book, Art of the Chopper published by Motorbooks Int’l in 2003. Zimberoff’s engaging text provides an in-depth analysis of the each designer’s philosophy and unique style.

This is the reincarnation of Tom Zimberoff’s original “Art Of The Chopper” bike. The original bike was mint green, swoopy and not quite road worthy.

The Brass Balls team was tasked with the challenge of making Tom’s sled cool, ride-able and keeping as many of the existing components as possible.

Dar Attends the Art of the Chopper Exhibition

Dar Holdsworth, Brass Balls Bobbers’ Capo, attended the opening of the Art of the Chopper exhibition on September 20, 2008 at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

“These motorcycles are really rolling art on two wheels that capture our true American spirit,” said Holdsworth. “Innovation, commitment and on-the-edge design oozes from these machines.”
