Chris Maida at American Iron felt the 69 Chopper from Brass Balls was off-the-chain! Not only does it have outstanding ergonomics, it’s responsive and really hauls the mail.
Maida’s test ride includes a round cylinder 92” S&S mill that is backed by a smooth shifting left-side drive BAKER six speed tranny. Included in the build is a BAKER 2.4” synchronous primary belt drive and clutch system.
Gases are addressed by a D&D Performance’s 2into1 ceramic-coated exhaust system with a Brass Balls’ spec muffler.
The Brass Ball Bobbers & Choppers’ custom-production 69 Chopper has been selected by American Iron Magazine as the 2011 Official Bike of Daytona Bike Week.
Each year for the last 16 years, the Daytona Beach Community Foundation holds a drawing for the Official Bike Week Motorcycle. Fifty dollars ($50) enters you into the drawing.
Since there are only 4500 tickets printed, the odds of being a winner are incredibly high.
Hot Bike magazine highlights the Brass Balls Model 1 and 69 Chopper on page 112 of their 2010 Buyer’s Guide.
New for 2010 – The 69 Chopper placed 3rd at the 2009 AMD World Championships (production class) This compact, well handling chop comes standard with components from Leroy Thompson, Crime Scene Choppers, Baker Drivetrain, Wilwood Brakes and Metzeler rubber.
The Model 1 was awarded Top 10 Production Bike in 2009 by V-Twin & Easyriders magazines and recognized by Barnett’s magazine as one of the best bikes for the money. Brass Balls Choppers & Bobbers has received so much attention from our Bros in the publishing industry this year that we wanted to thank them all for spending time with us.
From our industry show in Cincinnati to Sturgis, editors have liked what they have seen with our Model 1 Bobber and 69 Chopper. So here is a shout out to our friends at Hot Bike, IronWorks, V-Twin Magazine, Bikernet, Barnett’s Magazine, Ride Oklahoma, American Iron, Cyril Huze, Cycle Source, The Horse Backstreet Chopper, Easyriders and all the others.
Dar Holdsworth, BossMan of Brass Balls Choppers & Bobbers, has added a new model, Emylee, our Bobber Babe. She fills the vacant high heels of the firm’s first Chopper Chick, Megan.
For the next year Emylee will not just be smiling in front of the camera, she will be attending events and showcasing new products for Brass Balls including parts, accessories and motorcycles. She presents an all American girl image that really makes an impact and sets off the motorcycle she is on.
Video - Emylee’s Photo Shoot
In the following video we see Emylee during her photo shoot at World Headquarters. She throws a leg over the Military Raffle Bike. The video was shot before the motocycle was given away at the Broken Spoke Saloon during the 2009 Biketoberfest rally in Daytona Beach, FLA. The proceeds were given to the Intrepid Wounded Herso Fund.
Emylee, our newest BBB model, tours the World Headquarters offices and talks bikes. She throws a leg over the Military Raffle Bike and the latest 69 Chopper. She gives her approval for fit, finish, comfort and outrageous style.
By the way, you can get close and personal with the Military Raffle Bike too. Click here and for $10 you could take it home to your garage.
The 69 Chopper was designed by Dar Holdsworth, Brass Balls’ BossMan. He was looking to develop a bike that contains unique, American made components that would standout in the crowd. In addition, it would provide significant value to the owner from a price and performance standpoint.
So late one night he got out his pen and paper and produced the design of the 69 Chopper. A few months later it was built and is now in production for the 2010 model year. The following are the details of the motorbike.
Since the release of the 69 Chopper people have been calling and sending emails and commenting on Facebook for more information. Listed below are detail shots, build sheet and video. Call the team at Brass Balls at 405-270-0995 to learn more.
“They’re not scared of you. They’re scared of what you represent to ‘em”
– Easy Rider, 1969
A 2010 Time Capsule
The Year of the 69 Chopper featured Led Zeppelin as the number 1 album, the Easy Rider movie, Woodstock, Richard Milhous Nixon’s first year in office and Neil Armstrong walking on the moon.
The 69 Chopper represents the freedom of the open road. It’s a show stopping sled that is equally at home on long ribbons of asphalt or in the rough and tumble urban environs. (more…)
While in Sturgis Bert Baker and James Simonelli of Baker Drivetrain give Dar Holdsworth, Brass Balls’ BossMan, the 411 on proper burnout technique with the 69 Chopper.
The 69 Chopper can really light up the rear Metzeler ME 880, 180mm donut. The exhaust sounds good too. That deep rumble is provided by the team over at D&D Performance Enterprises.
The 69 Chopper is a custom-production motorcycle that includes high-end components from famed suppliers like Baker Drivetrain, Crime Scene Chopper, Leroy Thompson, Wire-Plus, D&D Exhaust, S&S Cycle and Tauer Machine.
Leroy Thompson built a number of special components for the chopper that will be standard equipment when it goes into production.
