Part 3: 2010 Win a Brass Balls Bobber MotorcycleThere’s been so much hoopla about the Model 1 from Brass Balls Bobbers that

I feel many of you already know about its components and how well it’s built. But in the interest of being thorough, I’ll cover some of this again.

Truth is, we at Darwin Motorcycles are somewhat overwhelmed (in a good way!) with orders for this cool, and really affordable, bobber.

But first I’d like to congratulate the winner of the 2009 IronWorks/Brass Balls Bobber, Dennis Murray of Tucson, Arizona. Dennis and his wife recently took a road trip to Oklahoma City to visit our new shop.

Part 2: It’s All A Matter of Style - Win the 2010 Bobber

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Brass Balls Bobbers
Who says an affordable bike has to look cheap? By incorporating some creative ideas into the build, any custom bike can be made to look cool. That’s been our belief at IronWorks for years, and that’s the philosophy the guys at Brass Balls Bobbers maintain, too.

And to prove it, they’re taking their “affordable” model, the Model 1, and giving it a few styling cues that should ramp it up to look like a $20,000-plus custom.

Base price for the Model 1? Less than $16,000.

Why the long face? We have a deal for your… We’re giving away another Brass Balls Bobber to a lucky IronWorks subscriber.

“based on the concept of the Model T Ford, using top-quality components.”

2008 Bikernet Brass Balls Bobbers Contest Winner

Dennis Murray Takes the Gold
How many contests have you entered, and once you’ve submitted your entry it—along with thousands of others—ends up on the dark side of the moon? You never find out who won the contest (although you certainly know that it wasn’t you!), so you might even suspect that you’ve been had.

Well, those rules don’t apply here, and we’re pleased to announce that Dennis Murray of Oro Valley, Arizona, is the winner of last year’s Bikernet/IronWorks/BBB Giveaway Bike.

Associate sponsors included: Tauer Machine, W8LESS Technologies, Trailer In a Bag, Gatorz, Carl’s Speed Shop, Torian Leathers, Metzeler Tires, Todd’s Cycle, Amsoil, Battery Tender, Art of the Chopper, Saddlemen Seats, D&D Exhaust, Baker Drivetrain, Hawg Halters, Crazy Horse, Biker Pros, and Bikernet.com.

Part 6: 2009 Giveaway Bobber - Mission Accomplished!

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

THIS BOBBER WENT HOME TO THE IRONWORKS/BOBBER WINNER It’s finished.

We rolled our IronWorks/Brass Balls Bobbers Giveaway Bike off the Handy Industries bike lift for the final time, and we immediately took it outside to admire its Glenndyne translucent paint job under a warm Oklahoma autumn sun.

Without sounding biased, this is by far one of Aaron Glenn’s finer paint jobs, right down to its gold-and-black color scheme and skull graphics. We featured the faux gauge panel on the gas tank last issue, so check it out if you missed it .

The bike sparkles with other jewels, too. For starters there’s that big Crazy Horse engine cradled in the BBB frame. It feeds a drivetrain consisting of top-shelf components, too.
